Over the past two years Kimono jackets have gotten really popular. My first one I bought carried a high price tag. After seeing how simple it was I decided to make a few of my own. They are so fun to wear with a skirt, dress up jeans or capris or use with a bathing suit on the beach! This simple 30 minute tutorial will have you ready for the summer in no time!
DIY Workout Beanie
Making a fashion statement in my workout journey, cute clothes, hats, beanies, head phones, had never been a thing for me. I see my friends post their cute outfits ans accessories before the y go to the gym. I am not one of those gym girls who gets ready for the day before she heads to the gym at 5:30 in the morning. I like to roll out of bed, put my hair in a ponytail, slip on the first gym clothes I see and go with it. I go to the gym for various reasons most importantly to stay healthy for myself and my family and for no other reason. In the winter its just to cold to run outside or even drive to the gym with out a hat. So I decided to set out and find a fun hat that was ponytail friendly. Something beside a ball cap. I found something similar on an international website but didn’t like the price. So I found some double knit scrap and made one of my own. This tutorial is super easy to follow and you will have a new beanie in 45 minutes or less!

Easy 4 step Workout Headband
There was a time when I just didn’t need the gym. My body just bounced back after babies and all was well. Now as I am aging I don’t get to enjoy that perk in life. I HAVE get to go to the gym, watch what I eat and count my steps. I have to care. But if I have to do all these things to stay healthy, I am going to do it in style. I saw a similar headband on the internet and decided I could make one or two for myself. I used them when I went to Movara Fitness. They are super easy and sew up in about 15 minutes.

Skirt Extender DIY
I love skirts. But as I get older it seems that skirts are getting shorter or I am getting taller. I have a general rule that my skirts go to the knee. Skirts that length that are modest can be hard to find. So when I saw a modest slip extender at a local boutique I just had to have one. But at $30 a piece I decide I would have to wait. So I went to my local Joanns. They had a great selection of Lycra stretch fabric in lots of colors. Here is what I bought:
1 yard Lycra fabric
2 yards coordinating lace
1/4 inch elastic enough for your waist.
To start measure your hips. take that measurement and add 1 inch.
Measure the length you want, from waist to knee or wherever you want it to go to.
Using a knit stitch, sew a seam the length of your skirt.
Make a casing for your waist band.
Attach your lace.
