My 9 year old loves to do crafts. He is very creative and has a lot of great ideas. This one can about when I was making the piggies for Angry birds. He picked one up and asked if he could have one. After asking him why he proceeded to explain what he wanted to do with it, Spiders!!! I have to give it to him. He’s pretty clever. He did this one all himself.
Here is what you need:
black paint
Paint brush
4 pipe cleaners
wooden dowel knobs
Googly eyes
Paint your knobs and let dry
Fold all 4 pipe cleaners in half and stick the folded end into the hole on the knob.
I had to drill the hole slightly larger so my son could get all 4 of the pipe cleaners in.
After making sure the pipe cleaners will fit put a little glue in the hole, then add the pipe cleaners.
Glue on your Googly eyes.
Pull legs out. Lay pipe cleaners out straight with 4 on each side.
About half way down the legs bend them down. Then 1 inch or so from the bottom bend out. To give him feet.
All finished
This is a really simple craft your kids will love. And they area super cute for decorating your porch or mantel.
