Carry All Lanyard

April 11, 2015 By: Freetimefrolics

Hello Ribbon Retreaters!  Thanks for visiting today.  I am Adrienne and I blog over at Free Time Frolics. With a new year that means new goals.  I have been diligently heading out to the gym every morning so often to get my self healthy.  So I decided if I am getting up before the sun then I want to have some cute things.  So today I am sharing my adorable Yoga Mat Carrier. The gym has some to use but I like to take my own.  This project is super simple and will take about 1 hour. Lets get started!

Here is what you need:

2 yards Colored Webbing

2 yards 3/4 inch ribbon

4-6 1 inch “D” Rings

2- Swivel Clips

Hot Glue gun and glue

lanyard supplies

Start by adding your clips to then ends of your webbing.

Cut your ribbon.  Mine measures 47 inches. Decide how far apart you need you need to space your D Rings. I stitched mine 1 inch from each end and 8 inches from the end.  This will let me use my carry all strap for my yoga mat and for a picnic blanket. You can also add a 3rd ring for something else just to make it more versatile. Pin your ends and stitch across, securing the D ring in place.

Once all your D Rings are secure, find center to your webbing and your ribbon. Pin them together. I use a glue gun and run a small bead of glue down the center to hold the ribbon in place before stitching.

Stitch ribbon into place. Stitching down both sides and across at the “D”Rings. I used the black lines to show about where you should stitch. Be sure to stitch along the entire piece of ribbon.

You are all finished!  You can use your carry all to carry anything!  We use ours for my yoga mat and picnic blanket. But you could also use them for sleeping bags for camping this summer.

So grab your supplies and get started!
