I have been in my house for almost 6 years. It has taken me forever to get a few things in order. But I finally finished my Master bedroom accent wall. I wanted something simple but impactful. My husband was against pictures and the vault in the room made other things difficult. We have an angel vault that starts at 8 feet and climbs to 20 feet. So I came up with this idea to have empty frames I knew it was a winner. I call it my wall of frames. It looks a amazing. I made 3 custom frames, one for the Television. And purchased regular frames for the additional ones.
With nothing in the frames you just see the plain wall but still draws your eye. We didn’t want any color because we thought it may be to much with the TV in the center.
The center frame is hung with J-Bar on the top. J-Bar is extremely heavy duty. And with the TV we didn’t want to take any chances that it would fall. The Frame also had an additional piece of wood added to the back so it could lay flat around the TV and the wall.
For the smaller, lighter frames I used command strips with hook and loop . They are the perfect size and because the frames don’t have anything in them, command strips can hold the weight.
I also used command strips, to stack the frames to give it a 3 dimensional effect. I used smaller frames for the stacking on top of each other.
I love the look and texture on my wall. It adds a little something to my room without all the extras. If you like what you see check out my other home décor posts! If you love the dresser check out my makeover with Annie Sloan chalk paint!
