Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delights

February 11, 2014 By: Freetimefrolics

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Jimmy Dean, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BreakfastDelight  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.”

This year I am trying to workout, Eat healthy, and get fit. Part of that goal is eating a healthy Breakfast. Now I am a lover of all things Breakfast. I love it all. The eggs, pancakes, meat, juice, all of it. But sometimes the calories and sugar don’t really fit into my diet. So when I was asked to try Jimmy Dean Delights I said “Heck Yeah”!

I put these babies to the test for breakfast after a work out.I headed to my local Walmart to the freezer section. I found mine in the breakfast food section. Now I’m not going to lie, I was very fearful to try these.  I have tried other brands and the bread ends up hard after microwaving.

After a big workout I try to have about 30 grams of protein.  Some days its hard to get that much. But with Jimmy Dean Delights I get 14 grams of protein per sandwich.  Almost half of my protein I like for breakfast!!!!! And they are only 210 calories!  Yipee!!  They come individually packaged so you only open what you want to eat.

I love that right on the box are the calories listed and the break down of calories, carbs, protein and fat.

My second pick was a scrambled egg and veggie breakfast bowl. In the bowl is potatoes, eggs, onions, red and green peppers and cheese. The breakfast bowl cooks up quick in the microwave.  I stirred up my bowl and chowed down.   It was delicious.  The eggs tasted like real eggs, not rubbery like most microwaved eggs.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Even my son loved theses delicious treats!  And I can feel great sending him to school with a healthy, well balanced breakfast.
So here it is… I love these Jimmy Dean Delights! And so do my family.   I would totally buy them again.  They are the perfect low calorie, high protein breakfast I need after a tough workout! Pair it with a grapefruit or breakfast smoothie.

Together Box Review

February 5, 2014 By: Freetimefrolics

A few weeks ago I received a wonderful little box in the mail.  The TogetherBox! The TogetherBox is a family friendly activity box delivered right to your front door! Subscription boxes are all the trend.  Together box promotes family together time.  Each box is filled with activity ideas and the items you need to do them all! And together box promises hours of fun.  So let’s see…

These adorable cards, list the activities and items needed to play.

Here is what came in the box.  My kids started with the glow ball.  They loved it.
I was skeptical of the glow paint but it works amazingly well.  We are trying to come up with more projects to use it on. We did have a little mishap.  The glow paint takes a while to dry, so be sure to put it somewhere the kids won’t touch it. Our paint ended up on a packet of papers. Our little bear got a new T-shirt!
I also love how these activity box had things for older kids to do.  My older sons love space and stars.  Using the glow stars to make constellations was wonderful for them.  A little Science and a little fun all wrapped into one!
I think our favorite was the glow bowling.  We have Monday nights set up to be our family night.  We have a lesson, family planning for the week and an activity.  Glow bowling was right up our Alley! We set up the cups with glow stick in them and went to town with the glow ball.
The together box claims to have hours of family fun.  I would agree.  My kids had plenty to do.  Night and day.
For just $24 You can have TogetherBox shipped right to your door.  Or you can send Togetherbox to a friend for family member.

Neon Marquee Letters

January 31, 2014 By: Freetimefrolics

neon marquee letters www.freetimefrolics.com #diy #marqueeletters

Marquee letters are a trend that I absolutely love. You can find lots of tutorials on how to make them.   With Valentines approaching I wanted something with some color.  So I went to work. I checked out a few tutorials and started playing around.
This is my final project.

Here is what you need.
Paper Mache letters
Plastic table cloths- Pick your colors
Marquee lights or String of Christmas lights
glue stick
Washi tape
I followed this tutorial for the basic marquee letters.  Minus the paper.
Once I got my letters cut and the lights in. (*Side note* You need to plan the order and stacking of letters before you add the lights.  Once your lights are in it will be hard to stack and move them around if the cords don’t go in right)  I started playing with the colors I wanted. I tried using tissue paper and it works great until you accidentally poke a whole in it.  Then you have to start all over.
Yep I totally had to start over!
That’s when I headed to Zurchers and bought some plastic table cloths. They have every color you can imagine!
I cut rectangles the would cover my letters.  I laid the plastic on a flat surface. then the letter on top.  I then used an Exact-o knife to cut the plastic to fit the letters.  I used a glue stick to get the plastic to stick to the letters until I could tape the plastic to the letters.
To finish off my look I used a plain washi tape to wrap around the letter edges.

You can use this for anything you want to say!  The possibilities are endless for colors and sayings!
To stack my letters I used Popsicle sticks and glue to hold them together.
I am not going to lie, these took some time but the pay off is amazing. It took me about 2 hours.  They look adorable on my mantel shelf!

Totally Tubular {Classroom Valentine}

January 21, 2014 By: Freetimefrolics

80's valentine printables www.freetimefrolics.com
I am a total 80″s girl.  I loved neon tank tops and biker shorts.  I had bangs that reached for the skies and a terrible perm.
I spoke like an 80’s girl saying things like “Totally Awesome”, “Totally Tubular” “Gag me with a Spoon”, and “Don’t have a Cow Man”.
Some of my favorite memories as a kid were playing Cabbage patch, Transformers and watching He-Man, She-rah and J.E.M on T.V.  We teased my brother relentlessly because his initials were J,E.M.  He was not as pleased with our teasing.
Fast forward to 2014 and my kids love watching the same shows on Netflix.  As a matter of fact I showed my daughter this Valentine and she asked why J.E.M was on the Valentine. I just love that girl!
