When I hear of someone in the neighborhood throwing up, high fever or coughing I immediately start giving my kids vitamin C.  But today I am going to share some great ways to keep the cold and flu bug out of you house. Now that doesn’t mean you kids won’t get sick, but  doing what you can in simple ways never hurts!

DIY Workout Beanie

February 29, 2016 By: Freetimefrolics

DIY workout beanie via www.freetimefrolics.com #exercise #videotutorial

Making a fashion statement in my workout journey, cute clothes, hats, beanies, head phones,  had never been a thing for me. I see my friends post their cute outfits ans accessories before the y go to the gym.  I am not one of those gym girls who gets ready for the day before she heads to the gym at 5:30 in the morning.  I like to roll out of bed, put my hair in a ponytail, slip on the first gym clothes I see and go with it. I go to the gym for various reasons most importantly to stay healthy for myself and my family and for no other reason.  In the winter its just to cold to run outside or even drive to the gym with out a hat.  So I decided to set out and find a fun hat that was ponytail friendly. Something beside a ball cap.   I found something similar on an international website but didn’t like the price.  So I found some double knit scrap and made one of  my own.  This tutorial is super easy to follow and you will have a new beanie in 45 minutes or less!

Check out my easy to follow DIY workout Beanie video tutorial below!  Enjoy!

2 Nephi 31:20 LDS Youth theme / scripture

December 31, 2015 By: Freetimefrolics

The 2016  theme for the youth of the LDS Church is 2 Nephi 31:20.

“Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope,

and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ,

and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life”

For my girls I love to have  a little something to help them memorize the theme and keep it in their scriptures or on the wall.

easy workout headband diy www.freetimefrolics.com #exercise #healthy

There was a time when I just didn’t need the gym.  My body just bounced back after babies and all was well.  Now as I am aging I don’t get to enjoy that perk in life.   I HAVE get to go to the gym, watch what I eat and count my steps. I have to care.  But if I have to do all these things to stay healthy, I am going to do it in style. I saw a similar headband on the internet and decided I could make one or two for myself. I used them when I went to Movara Fitness.  They are super easy and sew up in about 15 minutes.
